May 27, 2008 I am pleased to inform the HTH-LA Community that early in May the school received accreditation from the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) for six years. A copy of the letter from the WAC Commission Chair is posted at HTH-LA. The six-year term is the longest accreditation term possible. This is a testament to the philosophy and culture of the school. It is also proof of the commitment, dedication, and hard work of past and present students, parents, staff, administrators, and teachers. Our accreditation will see us through to the 2013/2014 school year, with a midterm one-day visit by a WASC in 2011. We will be continuing to monitor, evaluate, and adjust our current WASC Action Plan in the coming years to insure our midterm review reflects the school’s ongoing commitment to our students and their education; and, that our next accreditation visit results in another six year accreditation. It has been a pleasure and a privilege to have helped in the accreditation process and I personally want to thank all members of our school community for their support. Very truly yours, Randy Siercks HTH-LA WASC Chair
